Beech Tree Private Equity is pleased to announce the recruitment of Simon Hemley as a Director in the team.

Simon will compliment Beech Tree's sub-sector focus, bringing with him a raft of experience in investing in financial and support service companies. Simon will cover the South West region as well as Reading and the Thames Valley. He has worked extensively in these regions in his 17 year private equity career to date.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Franks, Managing Partner of Beech Tree Private Equity said "We are delighted that Simon has chosen to join the team. Simon worked with several of us at Gresham Private Equity so we have known each-other a long time. He brings significant additional experience to the team and an extremely complimentary fit with regard to both sector and geographic coverage".

Simon commented "It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Beech Tree as the firm continues to expand and to invest in high growth UK businesses in attractive sub-sectors. I am looking forward to working with Paul and the team again and helping Beech Tree to continue to prosper".

Simon joins from LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds bank, where he was recently appointed the Head of LDC's Bristol office. Prior to LDC, Simon spent eight years at Gresham Private Equity and four years at Ernst & Young advising on private equity transactions.
