Beech Tree-backed Inspiro Learning, a leading provider of technical and vocational training, has acquired Safety UK Group (SUKG). SUKG delivers accredited health, safety and environmental (HS&E) training and compliance solutions to individuals and organisations across the UK. This is Inspiro’s third acquisition in less than 12 months, following Remit Training in November 2025 and Engage, Train, Support (ETS) last month.
SUKG was co-founded and is led by Michael Havercroft and Damian Dunne, who will continue to run the business. As part of Inspiro, SUKG plans to open new sites, widen its range of courses and support customers across a broader area of the UK.
Stuart Wilson, Chief Executive of Inspiro Learning, said: “We are very excited for Mike, Damian and the entire Safety UK Group team to join Inspiro. They are an ambitious business with a market-leading reputation with their customers, and their values align closely with Inspiro’s. I am looking forward to seeing Safety UK Group continue to grow and prosper as part of the Inspiro family.”
Damian Dunne, Director of Safety UK Group, said: “Joining Inspiro is a hugely exciting moment for Safety UK Group and a real credit to our team, whose hard work and commitment have built the reputation we have today. Our customers will keep the same people and the same service they rely on. With Inspiro behind us, we can go further, opening new sites, widening our range of courses and giving our customers an even higher level of support.”
Together, the three deals extend Inspiro’s reach into new sectors, services and learner groups:
- Remit Training, an Ofsted Grade One provider specialising in the heavy vehicle, automotive and service sectors, strengthened Inspiro’s position as a leading provider of technical and engineering training.
- ETS brought a community-focused approach to training and employment for people facing barriers to work. It now forms Inspiro Impact, a new division focused on creating opportunity and social value through skills and employment.
- Safety UK Group adds specialist HS&E and compliance training. This complements Inspiro’s Technical Training and Managed Learning Services, so the group can offer complete solutions to customers in high-risk, compliance-led environments.
Luke Burns, Director at Beech Tree Private Equity, said: “Strategic acquisitions are an important element in our investment thesis for Inspiro, and three high-quality additions in less than a year show the strength of the platform and the team leading it. Safety UK Group brings specialist compliance training that sits naturally alongside Inspiro’s technical and managed learning services offering. We look forward to supporting Mike, Damian and the team as they open new sites and grow the business as part of the Inspiro Group.”
